today after work, we were talking about me and men. well actually, to be more specific, THEY were talking about me and men. i'm not really the kind of person who talk about my relationship stuff to other people. lol. but yeah, i don't know, i think these single men got tired of their love lives that they decided to tackle mine.
funny they were guessing that i would like a bad-ass, talkative annoying guy (and someone added - who beats me up - WTH??). truth is i would hate it. i met a guy before who just had all these stories. thing is i wasn't even on that stage yet where i actually cared what he had to say. and then there's also this guy who's too selfless. everything is all about the girl. it's so boring that it got annoying.
they also asked if money / status mattered. i.e. if i would go out with a guy who works at mcdonald's. well i said no. a couple of years ago i didn't even care if a guy had no job. but as people grow up, people change. standards included. ^^ then again, we all know that when *THE* person comes along, standards get swayed... lol. thinking more about it now, i probably would go out with a jobless (with reason) guy if he's really caring and sincere (and still pays for dates =P) etc. lol. that doesn't mean that i would'nt mind though.
they also thought about all the men who could be a good match for me. apparently, superman would be a good match for me. no, not superman from tv. superman from last year. ^^ well, i thought it was insane of them to even think about it since he has a gf now. i would say though, he was a really nice caring guy. didn't have face value though.
one last thing! these GUYS, lol they told me to style up a lil bit. omg haha... "you need to let them know you're on the market but you're not desperate" - those were my boss's exact words. i thought it was funny being told by men to 'style up' (de ja vu!). what can i do? jeans and shirts are too comfy. spending time to look good? i'd rather get more sleep. ;)
